   Dr. Muhsen Makhamreh, Dean of JAU participated in the international week of Clermont Graduate School of Management in France along with faculties from 28 countries

   Her Excellency Maha Alkhateeb, the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, the Chair of the Board of trustees of JAU along with Dr. Muhsen Makhamreh

   Dr. Muhsen Makhamreh presented a lecture entitled The Middle East: A global perspective at the Oklahoma University, U.S.A. on November 4, 2008.

    International Hospitality Forum     

                         
             JAU students participated in the Bed Making Competition at the International Hospitality Forum on Thursday, 30th October. Our student Faris Azhar won first prize. The competition was judged by Mrs.

   Dr. Muhsen Makhamreh, the Dean, attended the Second organizational meeting of the AHA International Hotel Management Board on July 19th-30th, 2008.     

    Tour Guide Graduation Ceremony at Jordan Applied University     

                         
             On 28 July 2008, under the patronage of Her Excellency Mrs Maha al-Khatib, the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities and in collaboration with USAID, a graduation ceremony was held for the 73 students who had successfully completed the Tour Guide Program.

    On 16th June the Minister of Tourism from The Republic of Yemen, His Excellency Mr Nabil Hassan Al-Fakih visited JAU during the UNWTO Conference which was held in Amman. His Excellency was impressed with the appearance and quality of our students and staff.                              
                                            

    On Thursday 22nd of May, JAU held an Open Day for its students to celebrate Jordan's Independence Day and the end of the semester. The students enjoyed all the activities, which included cooking competitions, quiz questions and games, some of which were team events against staff members…It was a fantastic day on campus!                                
                                            

    Her Excellency the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities – Ms. Maha Al-Khatib- invited members of the Tourism Committee of the Upper House of Parliament to have lunch at our training restaurant after their meeting at the Century park Hotel.                               
                                            

    On April 8th, 2008 JAU welcomed the Senior Vice President – Mr. Peter Mitchell and the Director of Human Resources-Ms. Jacqui Brits- from Jumairah Group, as well as the Hotel Manager of Burj Al-Arab- Mr. Tareq Derbas. Burj Al-Arab Hotel is one of the recognized hotels in Dubai
