JAU in cooperation with the Jordan Hotel Association conducted a workshop at the JAU premises entitled "Procedures and Food Safety in hotels". Miss Umaima Al Majthoub stressed the importance of applying food hygiene standards to avoid the risk of food poisoning, which can affect the reputation of a hotel and result in a financial loss. The lecture also included methods which should be applied to prevent contamination of foods, with an emphasis on the introduction of the HACCP system in hotels.
